The recall is limited to one batch of capsules,and is a class III recall ,which signifies that the use of ,or exposure to ,the product is not likely to cause adverse health consequences.The recall of 1.3 lakh capsules is being done on recommendations of the USFDA.The drug is a branded product of Ranbaxy,and one of the top five products which the company sells in the US.Sotret is amongest the 30 drugs on which the FDA issued an import alert in September last year.
