He has been instrumental in establishing laboratories for study of metabolism & metabolic disorders. He has established procedures for workup of referred cases from all over India.

Dr. Ananth is working at Apollo Hospitals, Bangalore as Senior Consultant & head for Metabolic Diseases and clinical Biochemistry. Currently Handling Laboratory and Quality for Apollo Hospitals, Karnataka. Has also worked as consultant, Research consultant, Associate Scientist and Post graduate lecturer at various renowned institutes before joining Apollo. Worked as Junior Research Fellow in Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Bangalore on cloning and expression of motor proteins on a contract of three months. He has delivered over 100 lectures on Diagnosis of Inborn Metabolic Disorders across various parts of India and abroad.
