Dr. Suruchi Goyal Agarwal is a Consultant in Paediatrics and Paediatric Endocrinology at Columbia Asia Hospital, Whitefield, Bangalore. After her graduation from the well-known Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka, in 2002, she relocated to do her masters in the United Kingdom. She pursued Paediatrics and specialised in Paediatric Endocrinology, as her career subject, and obtained her MRCPCH (Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health) from the United Kingdom in 2007. Having obtained her MSc in Child Health from the Leeds University in 2013, she went on to get her CCT also from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, United Kingdom, in 2014. She has worked as a Consultant Paediatrician in the esteemed Birmingham Children’s Hospital in the UK prior to relocating to India. As a General Paediatrician, she has 12 years of experience and is adept in managing a variety of medical complexities both acute and chronic. She strongly believes in practicing patient centered evidence- based medicine. As an Endocrinologist, she has experience in managing children with diabetes, thyroid disorders, short and tall stature, pubertal concerns, and other endocrine conditions. Her special interest is in the area of childhood obesity. As an academician, she has obtained her MSc by Research in Child Health from The Leeds University, UK. She has publications to her credit, notable being, the ‘Comorbidities in children with type 1 diabetes’ and the ‘Impact of psychological intervention in children with type 1 diabetes.’ These have been presented at the BSPED and ISPAD conferences respectively. She is also certified in Insulin Pump Therapy from the York University, United Kingdom.
