S. is the Consultant Interventional Cardiologist in the department of Cardiology in Columbia Asia Hospital (Whitefield Branch).  He complated graduation from the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore. He has been a recipient of Smt. Lakshmamma Memorial Gold Medal and Suma Jayaram Memorial Endowment Prize during his graduation days. After his MD in Internal Medicine from KMC Manipal, he went on to pursue DM (Cardiology) from the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (IPGMER) in Kolkata.  After his post-graduation, Dr. Naveen Chandra worked as an Assistant Professor in the department of Cardiology in the prestigious institute of Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. As an Interventional Cardiologist, he has vast experience in complex coronary interventions, primary coronary interventions, device closures, and pacemaker and device implantations. He also has abundant experience performing peripheral vascular and venous interventions including carotid artery interventions.  He was also the part of the team that performed the first and the largest series of percutaneous left atrial appendage closures, form India.  He is also well trained in cardiovascular imaging procedures like IVUS (intravascular ultrasound), OCT (optical coherence tomography) and FFR (fractional flow reserve).  He has evinced keen interest in teaching the subject of cardiology as well as research in the said field.  He has to his credit more than 30 scientific publications in reputed indexed national and international journals.  He has also been presenting numerous papers in national and international conferences from his graduation days, which has fetched him many awards.
