Dr. Pallavi Patri completed a Bachelors of Science degree with Honours from the University of Toronto with focus in Neuroscience and Biochemistry. She obtained her MD degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and Internal Medicine residency from Weill Cornell Medical College.  She went on to complete a fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical College in Nephrology.  She has American Board of Internal Medicine certifications in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology and holds a New York State Medical license as well as MCI and KMC Medical licenses. She has served as faculty at prestigious academic centers in New York City including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Weill Cornell Medical College where she was a clinically active Nephrologist and was involved in the education of medical students, residents and nephrology fellows.  She also saw Nephrology consultations for patients with rheumatologic illnesses from the Hospital for Special Surgery.  Her specific areas of interest include Kidney Transplantation, kidney disorders in the cancer patient and home dialysis modalities.  She is interested in further promoting the home dialysis modalities of Peritoneal Dialysis and Home Hemodialysis at Columbia Asia.  Her research focus has been in the field of Kidney Transplantation and she has two published book chapters in this subspecialty.
