Dr.Ravi Kirubanandan joined the United Kingdom South West Orthopaedic Training programme in 2006.From an early stage he has focussed his training on the Knee working with several of Bristol's leading Knee surgeons. He spent his final years of training as a fellow in Knee and Sports surgery at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital. This is one of the most highly sought after Knee fellowships. Here he has learnt several specialised procedures including meniscal transplantation.Dr Ravi Kirubanandan has developed an expertise in osteotomy around the Knee and he trained in Basingstoke Hospital under Prof Von Heerwarden, Netherlands. He also underwent direct training in Oxford under Mr.Murray and Mr.Price , in performing half knee replacement surgery(Oxford Uni compartment) His Research interests are in meniscal repair, graft choices in ligament reconstruction, causes and prevention of arthritis, Biomechanics of patellofemoral joint and replacement design..
