Dr. Shailendra Mohan Lakhotia is a consultant in Orthopaedics at Fortis Hopitals, Anandapur. He has more than 35 years of experience in his field. Previously he served as an Honorary Consultant Orthopedic surgeon from 1986 till 2012 at different charitable hospitals of Kolkata. He has also been doing corrective surgeries for children at RCFC Kolkata since 1987. Dr. Lakhotia completed his internship and House Surgeon's job at R.G.Kar Medical College and Hospital from 1074-1980. He then worked at University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, Maiduguri, Nigeria since 1982 to 1986. Dr. Lakhotia is the Executive Committee member of West Bengal Orthopedic Association since 2000 till 2010. He has served at the Indian Orthopaedic Association since 2002-2010 as the Executive committee member and chaired different committees. He has served as Chairman of Osteoporosis Sub Committee and presented IOA White Paper on Osteoporosis in the year 2007. He has also presented and published papers in many International and National Journals/conferences.
