Complete dentures, Overdentures, Fixed Partial Dentures (Bridges), Cast partial Dentures (Removable partial dentures), Flexible dentures etc, Implant supported dentures and bridges. Rehabilitation of Head and Neck cancer patients following ablative cancer surgery to restore form, function and appearance by obturators, guide bite prosthesis, tongue prosthesis etc. Pre and post radiotherapy and chemotherapy dental care. Maxillofacial prosthodontics (replacing missing eye, ear, nose, finger which is missing due to trauma or surgery).Persued Masters in Prosthetic dentistry from KLE’s Institute of Dental Sciences, Belgaum. She is a recipient of Two years Fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and Dental Oncology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. She has great experience as a Consultant Prosthodontist and Implantologist. She has also worked with many Onco-surgeons in Mumbai after completing her fellowship as Dental Oncologist and Maxillofacial Prosthodontist. Dr Somani’s research interests includes Trismus, Quality of life, Implants, Incidence and other dental parameters related to head and neck cancer patients. She has published various case reports and research articles in National and International Indexed Journals.Besides attending Continuing Dental Education program regularly, She has also organised Symposium on Maxillofacial Prosthodontics conducted by Dental Department, Tata Memorial Hospital in coordination with FFOFR, UCLA, USA in Novemeber 2012. She has also coordinated the Indian Dental Student Conference 2008 and hands on course on Implantology by Nobel Biocare, Conducted by Dept of Prosthodontics, KLE’s Institute of Dental Sciences, Belgaum. Dr Somani has also presented many oral papers, posters and table clinics at various national and international conferences.
