From Mumbai, Performed over 6000 upper GI ,Colonoscopy and ERCP.Young Investigator Award at APASL 2013,Singapore.Special interest in liver diseases and endoscopy, Extensive experience in diagnosing and treating peptic ulcer, constipation, gas, flatulence, diarrhea, heartburn, liver diseases, jaundice, bleeding per rectum, piles, abdominal pain, Gallstones and vomiting. Dr. Piyush perceived super specialization in Gastroenterology from B.Y.L. Nair Hospital, Mumbai. He gained vast experience in gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopy during 3 years of training. He has performed more than 5000 upper GI scopy including more than 500 variceal banding, sclerotherapy, corrosive stricture dilation, achalasia balloon dilation, injection therapy for peptic ulcer bleeding and PEG tube placement. He has performed more than 1000 colonoscopy including polypectomy. He has performed more than 150 ERCP for benign and malignant conditions. After completing training in gastroenterology, he was working as assistant lecturer in Nair hospital, Mumbai for one and half years. His sub-speciality clinical experience include ulcerative colitis, crohns disease, tuberculosis, IBS, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, cirrhosis and liver transplantation., Dr. Piyush research interests include cirrhotic cardiomyopathy, pseudocyst of pancreas and IBS. He has published about 7 scientific papers and review articles. Dr. Piyush was awarded Young investigator award for best poster presentation at APASL 2013 held at Singapore.
