Uterine Septum
I have been diagnosed of having this cavity above my uterus, which my doctor claims that this may not be a reason to not get pregnant but may cause the baby to get pushed out early.

I am due for an IUI procedure this Wednesday - 12th Jan, 2011. I just want to know if it is worth for me to go through with the procedure without rectifying the septum in the uterus.

Would appreciate an advice soon.

Re: Uterine Septum
Dear Mam,
Uterine septum may not interfere in concieving but is the reason for miscarriage or premature labour in many cases. The outcome of pregnancy would depend on its exact location, whether the septum is complete or partial, etc. The best advice can be given by your treating doctor who knows the exact details. Practically thinking, if you know of the condition beforehand, it is better to rectify it beforehand.
Best wishes,
