Procedure : HYSTEROSALPINGOGRAPHY (HSG)
ABOUT HYSTEROSALPINGOGRAPHY (HSG):
This is a radiological procedure where a contrast dye is injected through the cervix and x-ray taken, to investigate the shape of uterus and test the patency of fallopian tubes. It is commonly advised to females suffering from infertility, to investigate cases with repeated miscarriage, to test efficacy of tubal recanalization surgery, etc. It is performed one week after menstruation. The procedure is done on an outpatient basis by a radiologist.
