A medical graduate(MBBS and MS) from prestigious Manipal University. He is a Diplomate of National Board in Gastrointestinal Surgery and General surgery and has done his MRCS from the Royal College Of Surgeons UK. He has worked as an Assistant Professor in Gastrointestinal Surgery at Manipal Hospital.
He has been awarded prestgious Gold Medal by Health Minister Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad and Lok Sabha Speaker Meera Kumar for attaining maximum marks in Surgical Gastroenterology.
He has done his fellowship training in Liver Transplant and Hepatobiliary Surgery from world renowed centre like ASAN Medical Centre, Seoul, S Korea. Other scholarshipships to his credit are B Braun Scholarship, Travel Beursary and other awards in field of Surgical Gastroenterology.
His speciality interests are in laparoscopic surgeries, laparoscopic gastro oncology and advanced gastrointestinal surgeries for liver, biliary, gall bladder, pancreas, ,colorectal and esophagus.
He has many publications and presentations to his credit and has keen involvement in gastrointestinal education and research.
