Procedure : OPERATION FOR UNDESCENDED TESTIS
ABOUT OPERATION FOR UNDESCENDED TESTIS:
This is a procedure done to move the undescended testis to its normal location in the scrotum and fix it there with stitches. It is indicated in boys whose testicle has not descended into the scrotum by the age of one year. Generally performed before the age of two years, it may have to be done later in few adults if not done earlier. It may be associated with hernia which is also repaired at the time of surgery. The procedure is done under general anaesthesia by a Paediatric Urologist or a Paediatric Surgeon.
