Procedure : LASER SKIN RESURFACING
ABOUT LASER SKIN RESURFACING:
Also known as :Lasabrasion, Laser peel, Laser vaporization
It is a process where laser is used to transmit pulsating beams of light to the skin and remove excessive, damaged skin layer by layer. The two types of laser used are carbon-di-oxide and erbium. It helps to remove acne scars, facial blemishes, wrinkles due to sun exposure, pox marks, age spots, etc. It is performed as an outpatient procedure under local anaesthesia, and sedation if area is large. As it is delivered very precisely, heat damage to surrounding skin is minimal. A partial-face laser abrasion takes 30 to 45 minutes, and the full-face treatment takes 1-1/2 to 2 hours. It is done by a Dermatologist or a Cosmetic surgeon.
