Clinical Research Detail Title Of Study A clinical trial to study the use of a new monitoring modality(stroke volume variation using Flotrac/Vigileo) for predicting the need for fluids in patients on artificial ventilation. Disease Condition The evaluate the need to administer intravenous fluids to mechanically ventilated patients undergoing major surgery based on monitoring of stroke volume variation and compare it with central venous pressure and systolic pressure variation monitoring.
