He has been involved in cosmetic surgery, burns care and performing surgeries encompassing the wide spectrum of reconstructive procedures for congenital deformities, such as cleft lip and palate,acute burns, post burns deformities, microsurgery, post malignancy defects, facio-maxillary, limb trauma and aesthetic surgery. He has won the CS Sunderaj Gold Medal, and Dr Jamal memorial rolling shield for best paper in “Photographic method of wound measurement- simple and easy” at Tamil Nadu State Plastic Surgery Conference, Tanjavore, 2012. He has made presentations at conferences like Tamilnadu State Plastic Surgery Conference, KodaiKanal, 2011 and APSICON 2011, Coimbatore 2011. He has won several prizes including First place at National level plastic surgery APSICON quiz competition, APSCICON 2011 and Second place in Hand surgery quiz, Ethicon hand workshop, APSCICON 2011. He has attended basic course on microsurgical skills at Ethicon institute, Chennai, 2012 and has attended a basic course on Hand surgery at Ethicon, Coimbatore, 2011.
