She completed her Higher Secondary from Loreto Day School (Bowbazar), Kolkata in 1987; MBBS from Medical College, Calcutta in 1992 and went on to further attain DGO &DNB (Gynae & Obs) in the year 1997 and 2001 respectively. She has an exceptional work experience of over 15 years and has been working as a Visiting Consultant at leading hospitals across the city namely AMRI Hospital in Salt Lake, Charnock Hospital, Divine Nursing Home, Revive Nursing Home, New Life Nursing Home, Vidyasagar Matrisadan and North Barrackpur Municipality Hospital. She also completed a Certificate Course in Laparoscopic Technique of Sterilization, which was conducted by the Government of West Bengal at Eden Hospital and also underwent Indo-German Training in Gynaecological Endoscopy at Kiel & Giessen in Germany. To keep herself updated, she attended various workshops like Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgery Workshop at B.R. Singh Hospital.
