Dr. Mudit Agarwal had worked in Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He worked as Consultant in Surgical Oncology at Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital, Bhopal and because of his academic interest he had joined Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute, Ahmedabad as Assistant Professor in Surgical Oncology. He is an investigator of research projects in head & neck cancer. He is performing cancer surgeries of all sites with special focus in cancer of head & neck region with reconstruction.
In Head & Neck cancer he has keen interest in conservative surgery (Supraglottic laryngectomy, Near total laryngectomy, Supracricoid laryngectomy)in early and advanced larynx(voice box) cancer for preservation of voice. He has many patients who had undergone total laryngectomy (total removal of voice box ) for advanced cancer who are able to communicate using voice prosthesis and electrolarynx. For cancer arising near brain (Skull Base Tumors) Advanced skull base surgery are being performed teaming up with neurosurgeon & plastic surgeon. Cancers of oral cavity are treated depending on the stage of tumor. Conservative mandible preserving surgery(marginal mandibulectomy) are performed with good reconstruction techniques.
