Past Activity: Lost vision after brain tumor surgery - need advice for eye treatment.
Respected Sir, With humble submission the undersigned begs to submit the following few lines for favour of your kind perusal and soliciting necessary guidance/direction regarding the next course of action to be followed for the treatment of my wife who had been operated for brain tumor in Kolkata, West Bengal. That Sir, my wife, aged 46+ years had undergone brain tumor surgery in Command Hospital (Army Hospital) in Kolkata, being my son in the Indian Air Force. Tumor was detected in the IVth Ventricle of her brain after conducting CT Scan and MRI tests twice before surgery and again twice after surgery. She was operated on 23rd February, 2012 and was under treatment of Specialist for about a month. She was again admitted in the said hospital when she started developing vomiting, reeling of head, feeling weakness and behaving in an unnatural way and her treatment continued for another 15 days. Thereafter, Radiology treatment was meted out to her and in all such above process, she was under treatment for about 3/4 months. After getting such prolonged treatment, she has lost her eyes and cannot view properly and complains of problems in her eyes. She has developed double vision. VEP test was carried out as per the local physician but they could not suggest for further diagonosis. She even cannot attend her normal daily routine and most of the time urinal occurs on bed. One Assistant is always required to look after her. She even cannot move freely and cannot stand on her own feet, attending nature’s call, taking food and medicines of her own etc.etc. If she is forced to walk with the help of any Assistant, she complains of headache and other problems and easily starts sweating. Hope you will suggest me in this regard at your earliest convenience for her further treatment. There is no any complaint of taking food. She takes all kinds of food, viz. veg and non-veg cooked at home/market. Under the above circumstance, I would, therefore, humbly request you to kindly suggest/advise me the next course of action to be followed in this regard. Whether some solution can be obtained if she is brought to your kindness for her check up and you will be highly obliged to advise me suitably in this regard. I am sending herewith the pre and post CT Scan/MRI Reports of her brain for your kind perusal and giving me a suitable advise/suggestion and for this act of your kindness, I shall always remain ever be grateful to you. Thanking you in anticipation. Yours faithfully,
