Greetings from Team Ask4healthcare!
Endometriosis is a condition where tissue resembling the womb or uterus lining (endometrium) is found in other sites in the body. The growth of this tissue is stimulated by oestrogen, so decreasing oestrogen levels with injections like Decapeptyl will make the endometrial implants shrink or stop growing, thereby relieving symptoms. It is given as a monthly or three-monthly injection for six months to treat endometriosis. It puts endometriosis into remission during the time of treatment and sometimes for months or years afterward.
Remember that hormonal therapies are not a permanent cure for endometriosis. There might be recurrence of symptoms after stopping treatment. Fertility is an issue here but since your family with 2 kids is already complete, it is not a botheration for you. Surgery is considered as the last resort. For now, please continue the treatment as advised.
