Dr Banerjee, MD, FRCP(London), FRCP(Edin), FICC, FESC, is a Senior consultant interventional cardiologist at Apollo Gleneagles hospital, Kolkata.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London as well as Edinburgh. He is a clinical examiner for the MRCP (UK) examinations in India. He is also a Fellow of Indian College of Cardiology and an academic counselor for postgraduate students of Indira Gandhi Open University (IGNOU).

He has held the posts of executive member and treasurer of the Royal College of Physicians’ Association of Eastern India in 2006 – 2009, and 2009-2011, respectively. He was also the Course Director of PLAB-PRO, a non-profit organization that organized courses for candidates planning to take PLAB and MRCP examinations. He has been a Principal Investigator in many international clinical trials such as ARISTOTLE, ATLAS ACS2 TIMI 51, CRISP-AMI and others.
