He did his MD in Internal Medicine from 1995 to 1998 at Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai. He was the recipient of the Madurai API Gold Medal in MD Internal Medicine in the year 1998. He did his DM in Neurology at the same institute from 1999 to 2001. In 2000, he has completed his DNB in Internal Medicine.
