NEW TECHNIQUE FOR IVF TREATMENT
Embryos are normally implanted after two to five days in cullture and women are often implanted with upto three embryos at a time. This often leads to multiple pregnancies. With this new technology doctors shall be able to analyse the embryo quality before implantation to identify the best embryos and thus enhance the success of the IVF treatment.
This will decrease the incidence of twin or triplet pregnancies and minimise the problems of multiple births such as premature babies.
